This is the overview of the Social Media Pitch to MDAA (www.mdaa.org.au) This negotiation activity enables students to engage in value creating bargaining even when the parties have unknown interests and priorities. It involves a possible agreement between a group of marketing consultants (YOUR GROUP) and the Multicultural Disability Advocacy Association (MDAA). Students are assigned to a consultancy team that will take a brief from the client (MDAA) in Week 4 and then prepare a social media brief and contract negotiation.. The Consultancy Teams will do their pitch and negotiation in Week 8. Following the session, teams, should submit to the instructor preparation documents and complete a signed outcomes form. Each Student is then to submit a 1,500 word written report reflecting on the experience should be submitted to the instructor on the due date the following week (Week 10). This report should analyse how the Consultancy Team preparation and planning, strategies and communication contributed to outcomes and make recommendations for the marketing strategy. . Reports should not exceed 1,500 words, using 12 point font with 1.5 line spacing format. Reports must be fully and accurately referenced or they will not be graded. Students should aim for a 10 per cent to 15 per cent Turnitin similarity index with direct quotes properly referenced with quotation marks, source and page number (please contact the instructor if you need advice regarding Harvard referencing or access the UWS library Harvard referencing instructions). Secondary research can be included in the assessment to consolidate arguments. Examples of the short report format are provided in the vUWS Assessment 2 folder. Short reports should include a title, subject, introduction, body, summary/conclusion and recommendations for improvement.
