Identify three professional goals that you want to achieve in the next 12 months. Your goals should be specific, measurable, attainable, relevant and include a time frame. Two goals should focus on your professional practice and one goal should focus on professional development opportunities, such as industry networking, attending training or joining or obtaining information from a professional association.
You should include both formal and informal ways of learning in your personal development plan. For example, formal learning may include attending training courses or professional development seminars. Informal learning may include talking to colleagues, observing colleagues, visiting other programs.
You should also describe how you are going to measure (and record) your progress with your personal development plan.
