With pregnancy the mothers immune system is lowered making them more susceptible to infection (Hawkins, Roberto-Nicholas & Stanley-Haney, 2020).
The management plan for this patient would include expectant management. This would include symptom management and watchful waiting. Educating the patient on what to look for in regards to excessive bleeding or infection and when to contact the office or emergency personnel (Hawkins, Roberto-Nicholas & Stanley-Haney, 2020).
